The handmade process

Behind every Tamano piece is a process that values slowness, attention, and natural materials. Here is how each piece is made — by hand, from start to finish.

  1. Selecting the leather

It all begins with choosing quality natural leather — each hide inspected by hand.

  2. Cutting & pattern

Each piece is hand-cut to pattern, with precision and care.

  3. Hand stitching

Every stitch is sewn by hand — the saddle stitch that lasts for years.

  4. Finishing & burnishing

Made to last

Only full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather and solid brass — materials chosen to grow more beautiful with time. Each piece leaves the studio only when it is ready.
