The handmade process
Behind every Tamano piece is a process that values slowness, attention, and natural materials. Here is how each piece is made — by hand, from start to finish.
Selecting the leather
It all begins with choosing quality natural leather — each hide inspected by hand.
Cutting & pattern
Each piece is hand-cut to pattern, with precision and care.
Hand stitching
Every stitch is sewn by hand — the saddle stitch that lasts for years.
Finishing & burnishing
Edges are smoothed and burnished, hardware set with care.
Quality check
The finished piece is checked by hand — made to last and to be one of a kind.
Made to last
Only full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather and solid brass — materials chosen to grow more beautiful with time. Each piece leaves the studio only when it is ready.
